Children in Need
Sycamore Academy raised £352 for Children in Need. The whole school wore spotty dotty clothes and brought in their coppers (1ps & 2ps). We learned about the charity and participated in a plethora of activities which engaged all the children. A fun day was had by all.
Sycamore Academy has been involved in a project through the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to investigate Changing Mindsets. Senior Leaders have supported teachers to raise pupil attainment, particularly for the most disadvantaged. The academy has been praised for its endeavour to generate educational evidence of “what works” to improve teaching and learning. The school’s staff commitment to deliver and assess the impact of high-potential ideas and to share the results has contributed to the EEF’s knowledge bank. Sycamore is pleased to be a leading partner in this work
